Our Vision:      

To be a globally admired institution of education and research in hydropower and other sustainable energy resources

 Our Mission:

  • Mission 1 : To continuously plan, promote and sustain a high quality of integrated education and research
  • Mission 2 : To groom our students into high quality professionals who are valuable assets for industry, academia and other organizations
  • Mission 3: To constantly invest in research on hydropower and other alternate energy resources in collaboration with leading industries and research organizations
  • Mission 4: To benchmark ourselves against international standards in all our endeavors
  • Mission 5: To serve society by creating an organizational culture of excellence nurtured by values and ethics

 Core Values:

  • Values are traits or qualities that are considered worthwhile; they represent an individual’s or group’s highest priorities and deeply held beliefs and driving forces. Values are constant and are held sacred in perpetuity.
  • Value statements are grounded in values and define how people want to behave with each other in the organization. They are statements about how the organization will value customers, suppliers, and the internal community. Value statements describe actions that are the living enactment of the fundamental values held by most individuals within the organization.
  • Each member of each team was asked to write down 5 Core Values they thought the institution should adopt, in line with its Vision and Mission statements recently framed
  • Then each team was asked to work together and come with their collective Top 5 Core Values
  • Finally all the Core Values of all the 5 teams were listed on the board. The common and most cherished ones were given the “green” light. Each core value was intensely debated for inclusion/exclusion. Finally the group decided to adopt those that were universally found to be meaningful, inspiring and perennial.
